God has given each of us protection from the Devil and his host of demons. Many well-meaning people have done so only to realize that something devilish has come into their lives and they can't get rid of it.
#DEMONIC SEANCE FREE#
In each case, you are, of your own free will, opening yourself up to unseen powers and inviting them to come to you. The dangers posed by a seance are very similar to those posed by using the Ouija board. What matters is that Saul was dead within 24 hours. Did God allow an exception in this case and send Samuel to appear before Saul and the witch, or was the spirit a demon that appeared in the likeness of Saul? We can't know for sure, but whether the spirit was Samuel or a demon is not important. The witch did succeed in raising a spirit. The Bible, itself, cites the case of Saul who visited a medium known as the "Witch of Endor" because he wanted her to bring up the spirit of the prophet Samuel. "But what about the witch of Endor," you ask.

Regardless of the spirit that is invited, the only spirits that respond are most likely demonic spirits. They may or may not use a "medium" or "spiritualist". Those present usually hold hands, close their eyes and invite the spirits in general, or a particular spirit, to communicate with them. The purpose of a seance is to contact the dead, or other spirits, for the purpose of seeking their counsel. Many, sadly, will follow Satan's deceptive call to destruction rather than the leading of the Holy Spirit, which leads to life everlasting. In fact, I'm convinced that as the end time draws nearer, more and more people will seek spiritual experiences as they look for answers to the ever-increasing challenges of life. Even so, the practice of groups of people gathering for the purpose of contacting the dead remains alive and well across the country. Deuteronomy 18 clearly explains God's view of communicating with spirits by any form.
